The total land area occupied by this zoological park is 40 acres and was first opened in 1889. There are about 200 species totaling 1500 animals. The most popular exhibit of this zoo is the Giant Pandas which have been increasing the number of visitors to the zoo every year.
Like the other zoological parks, this zoological park is also divided into different areas according to the presence as well as habitat of the exhibits. The Chehaw Wild Animal Park. Albany, Ga.
Originally laid out by noted naturalist Jim Fowler (of TV’s Wild Kingdom), Chehaw Wild Animal Park features natural habitat exhibits with native and exotic animals. Visitors can stroll scenic boardwalks through the cypress swamps.
Kids will love the Petting Zoo close by.
